    Azariah McKenzie Endowment Fund

    Date: August 2, 2016

    Dear Sisters and Brothers,

The name Azariah McKenzie resonates with many Caribbean Baptists in the region and the Diaspora. This outstanding Baptist leader, who can be aptly described as a Renaissance Man, contributed much to church life through the lenses of the Jamaica Baptist Union, the Caribbean Baptist Fellowship and the Baptist World Alliance.

This visionary trail blazer served with distinction as General Secretary of the JBU, Executive Secretary/Treasurer of the Caribbean Baptist Fellowship and a Regional Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance. As a faithful servant, he served with unyielding loyalty, sustained integrity and uncompromising faith.

Given his interest in ministerial formation, unity among Baptists in the Caribbean region and mission and evangelism, among other areas, the Executive of the Caribbean Baptist Union has decided to establish the AZARIAH MCKENZIE ENDOWMENT FUND for mission particularly in the field of theological education
as a tribute to his outstanding work within and outside the Caribbean.

This serves to invite you to make a contribution to this fund as we try to establish a principal amount of US $ 50,000.00. This amount will be invested and the interests accrued will be disbursed to successful applicants.

Join us in keeping the memory of AZARIAH MCKENZIE alive.
